Jeff Collins, PMP

CEO & Founder

 

Jeff is responsible for the company’s strategy, sales, marketing, operations, project services and participates in consulting and training. Jeff is still involved in strategic accounts as needed, not only sales, but also executing deliverables.

He has been engaged on many of IMS’ strategic accounts including: Arco, Northrop Grumman, Northrop Grumman Ship Building, Orbital, Beal Aerospace, SunPower, BP, Weyerhaeuser, Boeing, INEOS, Veterans Administration, Idaho National Labs, Chevron Phillips Chemical, SBM Offshore, McCarthy Builders, Syngenta, Nevada DOT, Houston Metro, Veterans Administration, US Coast Guard, Royal Caribbean, Trinity River Vision Authority, IBM, Unisys, Western Digital, EDS, Warner Music Group, Mass Electric and others.

Furthermore, Jeff was hired as an advisor/consultant to EagleRay Software, the company that designed and developed the software now branded as Oracle Primavera P6. This software is used by 10,000+ companies around the globe to manage their project portfolios.

Jeff is the designer / architect of IMS’ ProjectInfoCenter. A single-sign, multi-tenant web portal for IMS’ customers to access project intelligence, application and process training, application helpdesk and hosted applications.

Prior to starting IMS in 1993, Jeff:

  • Worked with a Discrete Manufacturer as a Configuration Analyst and Inventory Control Specialist for a defense contractor developing the weapon launch control systems for the Navy’s nuclear submarines. He also designed and developed software to track and provide insight on critical materials from procurement through installation.
  • Worked in the Energy and Resources sectors providing Projects Controls on capital projects, maintenance projects and major turnarounds for Owners (Dow Chemical, Dupont Chemical, BP and Alyeska Pipeline) via management consulting firms and a Engineering & Construction contractor. He designed and developed software to enhance the effectiveness of various critical business processes, such as the scheduling, resourcing, and loading of chemicals on tankers being exported around the world.

Jeff has used technology as a differentiator to create extraordinary value, improving the way work is executed and managed. Since founding IMS in April 1993, Jeff has stayed focused on utilizing technology to making positively impactful differences to the process of managing complex, capital-intensive projects and programs for IMS customers. Jeff resides in McKinney, Texas. He is married with two children. He enjoys tennis and martial arts.
