Solution Objectives
- This scenario has lead to the decision to consolidate project data into a single Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management solution.
- Centralize project data, while standardizing project management across the engineering offices
- Worked with Oracle Platinum Business Partner to implement Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Management
- Develop consistent project management information reporting which is flexible, timely and accurate with the work and organizational breakdown structures.
- Develop standard business processes for resource management and capacity forecasting.
- Develop standard business processes for portfolio management and a holistic master schedule across the institution.
- Institutionalize a Standardize Project Delivery process.
- Capitalizing on Best-Practice integrations across the institution.
Future Enhancements
Future enhancements for INL include additional training to increase the overall project management maturity level across the laboratory. Additionally, an upgrade of the P6 environment to Release 8.x is planned based on capability of the Cobra system integration. Training and deployment of risk management will be proposed as well.
