The Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) required standardized project controls processes and improved visibility into project scheduling, costs, and cash flow management as it prepared for its largest capital project to date, a five-year, $150 million runway relocation initiative. CRAA needed a scalable project controls environment capable of supporting approximately 100 annual projects while integrating Primavera solutions with existing financial systems to improve reporting, automation, and overall project oversight.

Solution

Critical Business Analysis (an IMS subsidiary) partnered with CRAA to implement Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM and Primavera Contract Management (PCM), while helping establish standardized scheduling methodologies and project controls processes across the organization. CBA (an IMS subsidiary) developed a PCM infrastructure capable of managing contracts, change management, invoices, and budget tracking while also designing and implementing integrations between Primavera P6, PCM, and CRAA’s Microsoft Dynamics-NAV ERP system. The engagement included custom report development, automated activity and resource assignment solutions, role-based training, and the development of custom training materials to support long-term system adoption and operational consistency.

The implementation provided CRAA with a fully integrated project controls environment that improved visibility into scheduling, costs, contracts, and cash flow across its capital program portfolio. Automated integrations between P6, PCM, and NAV streamlined data flow, reduced manual processes, and enhanced reporting accuracy.
