Project Start-Up
IMS can assist your organization with project start-up by evaluating the project management information systems that are available and making unbiased recommendations.
IMS will work with your project team to develop or refine the Scope statement that includes the project deliverables and objectives. We will help develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) by taking the scope of work and breaking it down into manageable pieces. These pieces or elements of the WBS will have deliverables in the form of products or services. An Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) will also be developed to assign accountability for all work in the WBS. We will help develop a process for tracking project costs and managing changes to the scope of work. We can the begin assisting with development of project plans and schedules, including resource dictionaries, calendars, etc. with the selected software tool.
We will develop a Project Communication plan by determining the information and communications needs of the stakeholders; who needs what information, when they will need it and how it will be made available to the stakeholders in a timely manner.
IMS can also assist your team in developing status, progress performance and forecasting reports to provide stakeholders with information about how effectively resources are being used to achieve project objectives.
IMS will assist the project team to perform a preliminary software implementation analysis, which will quantify the effort that will be required to support the project as well as identifying the composition of the support team for the scope of work.
